In the immortal words of Steve Holy...

...I gotta brand new girlfriend. It's really cool. Not only are the physical desires acheived, but she turns me on intellectually and spiritually. It's a very strange experience.

Well, this dog is one of the very few pictures I've taken in the past week or so, which is unfortunate for you peeps, because there were some awesome opportunities, such as the late-morning sun lighting the awesome sky as I came home across that bridge ovar, don't rememmer the name obviously. I have also failed to capture much else. I have been so wrapped up in selfish concerns. This dog, anyway, is an example of how puppies are like babies, in my opinion of course. They are adorable, when they are someone else's. There were a dozen of these adorable, fluffy, very loving little mutt puppies who would most likely grow up to be dumb, very large, and very troublesome, bleh, no thanks. They make nice cuddly toys as puppies, though.

Karla came to visit last night, so I hadsta take her downtown the next morning to see my favorite lake and my second favorite libaree, in front of which it sits. Oh man, it was an amazing day, like most down here, but beyond the typical actually, frickin wow. There were a b'jillion birds. This is a good example of howI have failed to picturize much. I only took a few pictures, none of birds even.

Karla and my mom hit it off real well. They sat out on the front porch as I went to get the kids.
Ooooh. As there often is, some baked yumminess from the mind of Rhianna awaited me as I arrived to do my laundry before the kids got home. Mmmm, Biscotti, chocolate chips and chocolate dipped. Oh yeah, fat boy likee (fat boy is my inner child).

Ok, I'm not feeling like writing much, I just wanted to finish this entry. I still have pictures on the phone that I need to write about. I just started this one while I was away from the phone. Why? Well, because the awesome phone that Emily's dad gave me a while back is a slider and I think the ribbon cable inside cracked so it all works fine still, but not the earpiece, which means to make any call I have to use the speakerphone or the Bluetooth earpiece. So, I went to the AT&T sto and gots a free one, a Nokia candy bar phone, no flip, slide, nutn to break. However, I think I'm gonna just take it back and see about fixing the slider because it's just too cheap. It's not so much that I just took the slider for granted. It's just that this phone is really pitiful as far as what it can do, my daughters cheap phone can do more than this POS. At first I was taken aback that it has no frickin calculator, really?!. I took it for granted that ALL phones had a damn calculator. Ok, well the guy at the sto, the manager, good guy, said he would order the data cable for it, download a program and install a calculator, so I thought that would be cool. Then, however, I noticed that, the other thing I use all the frickin time, the alarm sucks. There is only one alarm time to set. The slider, and again, my daughter's cheap free phone, allows multiple alarm times so you don't have to re-set your alarm for some event tomorrow just because you want to brew a cup of tea now, grumble, grumble. So, anyway, so much for not feeling like writing, ay? I think I's gonna go return this phone today and see about fixing the slider. It is a damn nice phone.

This spiritual evolution is a fun ride

Speaking of fun ride. This car, whatever it was looked pretty sweet, nothing but tires and ass and boals. I don't know what it was. I only caught a quick look enough to snap this picture. It said GT 44 on the tag, but that means nothing to me. I ain't never hearda no car lykat. I even dun looked it up to make sure just dinnit know supm. This was on my way to volunteer at the SPCA the other day. I fergit which day. I also fergit the days on the other blog entries I still needta write. I dunno if I will, though. I may just not.
I went back and forth between the catteries and the small dog/puppy room. It wern't too busy so I gotsta spend some time a visitin with Goldie here. I think I like this guy even more than Ernie. He's a frickin awesome cat, look at them colors.
He is 4 supm years old and almost as affectionate as Ernie. He sheds considerably less, though. I dunno. I have enough life concerns to put this topic on the back burner.
Oh yeah, it was Friday, I think because Sunday the kids and I went downtown. I wanted to show them one of the lakes downtown and the libaree that is my second favorite libaree. It wasn't open til 1:30 on Sunday, so we wennahedd and looked around the lake across the street from it.
I dunno what these is, but I like this long-beaked guy.
Neriah stuck his shoe out after I warned that swans are even more ill-tempered than geese. I dunno, maybe not so much ill-tempered as just in-your-face-bring-it-on. They aren't quite as agressive, but they sure do like to puff their chest and threaten to bite you. It's not so much a go away as just a go-ahead-try-it.
beautiful bird. Neriah asked if you could just grab their neck like a handle. haha. Then I pointed out the large claws they have on those cute little webbed feet and how I imagine they could bend that very flexible neck in order to position those claws in gouging the hell outta you range. He reconsidered any thunks along that line.
This is the bench we thought we would all use to read and write while we waited for the libaree to open. However, the frickin ants of the bad color shooed us away. I moved the bench way over there, but the ants were pretty much every-damn-where over here, so, eh, no sitting here. We just walked around and talked to birdies...
...and checked out the cool flowery trees that the city of Lakeland imported from places like Australia.
Like this one. Damn, she's beautiful.
This guy stayed put and kept doing the preparatory wing twitch as we got a bit closer. Fortunately, though, he didn't actually fly. He wasn't too jumpy, so I had time to bust out my camera and 'then' get too close, so I could catch him spread out, sweet.
One of those cool flowers found a home.
We came on over to the other side and decided to sit on this retaining wall and dangle our feet just over the water. We did for a few minutes until they both dropped something, retrievable fortunately, in the water and then the damn ants came to pester. So, we moved to a nice picnic table that was right ovar.
Rhianna had a decent place to work on her story and Neriah and I could read. I was using my cool 'Save the honey bees' bookmark that Rhianna made for me.
It opened, so we came on over here. We stayed for a bit until the grumblings told us to return home to feed.

Ok, I hate when it does this, frickin computer shite, grumble, grumble. I can seem to type under this last picture. Ok, fast forward a day or so and the next picture is on the way home from the kids' house. I had the windows down and the sunroof open, as I do any chance I get, and the breeze was frickin awesome, 71 degrees, perfect.

Ok, I guess I's burned out my writingal abilities.

35, whooptie-frickin-do

Ok, I'm not feelin like writing the other two entries yet. Neriah and I went to the fair last Friday and yesterday my sister frowed me a birfday party, but those will wait. I'm not feelin it. Ther will only be a few pictures of the tail end of that event because they are a part of today. This first, is my first action of the day. I was going to do something, but dynamic life steered me in a different direction once again. I taked a shower in this awesome shower.
Then, Maria, my seester decided to make some breakfast fer us. I stood in the kitchen bs'n with her for a few until some Eagles crap came on the music cable channel that her and me madre were listening to. Bleh, it was time for me to go sit down back on the back patio.
There's the breakfast-makin ovar. I am good-to-go out here, watching the Westminster dog show and drinking my coffee.
Wow, once again, I am diggin comin down here. She serves me even. This picture, I'm noticing, makes it look like a big mess. It was quite good, though. Bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and of course special jam from Montana and some hot sauce, mmm.
The thing I was going to do eliminated itself from my list of things to do, so it was time to go home. The sky, as usual, was frickin amazing.
From every angle it was just, wow.
I came home and sat for a few in my recliner, kinda tired fer some reason. Rhianna texted me around 1:30, saying hi. So, I said hi, thinking she was in soem kinda break in school. When she told me her brother texted me, I said, 'why aren't you guys at school?' She then told me of their early release and then her bakings. Hmm, after just a few minutes, I thunked it was a good excuse to go hang out with them. I mean, hell, the whole reason I'm even down here is to be around these guys. So, yes, good excuse.
Fresh baked whole grain wheat bread and some cool Valentine's day cookies. She mixing some red food coloring in the sugar cookie dough.
I really wanted a Coke and Shalane had none in the fridge. I started drinking it recently. Just like being a previous dog person, I was also a previos Pepsi person. Since I've cut out all the damn sweet stuff from my diet, I also decided, not too long ago, that Pepsi is too sweet and Coke is more to my liking now. So, anyway, I decided that Neriah and I should run up to Sweetbay to get some Cokes. Then, Rhianna asked if I would see about some gift bags for her Valentine's day goodies. She goes well above and beyond for friends and teachers. I stopped by the cool dollar store up here in the Sweetbay shopping center. There were clear and semitransparent blue over here.
Or these that said kiss me over here, nah. Anyway, I called her after sending the pictures and she remembered the buncha leftover bags she had from last V-day, so she cancelled the bag adventure. Roger. On to the Cokes.
After retrieving the Cokes and installing them in the fridge and two in the freezer for quick chilling, I cooled and sliced the bread that Rhianna made. I used the ice tray from the dispenser in the freezer to cool the pan, so I could try it. Pshaw! I don't have all damn night. So, I sliced the ends off and, since they were just small end pieces, I hadsta eat em, right, mmm, good stuff. Then, I put two pieces for my sammidge makin purposes in a baggie and, since the middle piece ended up kinda thick, I split it for the punk darlings to sample. As Neriah grabbed his to devour it because it was, as he said after tasting a broken piece, the best bread he ever had, Rhianna said, 'no, don't eat that.' She had to bust out the food markers and draw a nice heart on his piece. Aw, that's nice. Don't let that give the impression that she likes her brother, outwardly.
This is what the red food coloring was being mixed with the sugar cookie dough fer. She had plenty more ideas planned, but It's time for me to go, so I'll just get a picture of this one. She cookie cuttered the big one then cookie cuttered a small one out and in, awesome.
On the ride home, the sky was breathtaking as it usually is in the evening especially. As I rode home, with the windows down and the sun roof open, I thanked God for blessing me with this opportunity to experience this frickin awesomeness. It was 74 degrees and the breeze was perfect. Yes, besides every day being a bonus after my accident, if I died tomorrow, after experiencing that moment, I would die content with experiencing ecstasy.

My second day of volunteering at the SPCA down here

There wasn't much to do this morning because of an excess of volunteers and there weren't many animals, honestly. So, I, for the most part, just gave some animals love. This guy I really dug. He's a huge cat and very affectionate.
I took him back to the visiting room and hung out with him as he modeled for me. He didn't understand why it was so funny for me to say, 'oh yeah, nice pussy.'
He nuzzled my legs periodically and looked up at me, as if to say, take me home, or maybe that's just what I kept thinking. I usedta be a dog person, but lately, for various reasons, I think, honestly, a cat is more my speed. I realize that I will violate some guy code or supm, but I already don't like sports beyond sports bars and football parties, so eh. Besides it would never get old to talk about stroking my pussy anytime I want.
Very affectionate, just what an affection junkie like me needs to keep him from rushing into anything with a human-type.
Man, he was a big'un.
Ok, for comparison purposes, I took the same pictures that I did a few days ago with my cell phone camera. I'll hasta compare these entries, but already I see  difference.
It sure seems clearer.
This one lacked the same duplication because, for some reason, they had all the tables and chairs stacked in the corner of the patio and there were zero clouds in the sky.

Chillin with the daughter again

Yeah, I think the difference in the pictures this camera takes is apparent. This morning, since the daughter was out of school again, I decided to go hang out with her so she wasn't a stranded solitary sicko. The sky, as captured much mo betta with this camera, was amazing as it has been every frickin day since I came down here back in July of 2007.
Much mo betta, but still a far cray from the breathtakingness of reality.
Just in time for the train.
Arriving at Shalane's 'hood, yo.
Hells yeah. I was fortunate enough to meet fresh cinnamon rolls and coffee, mmm, nice.
I hung out with Rhianna all day and chatted with her and then when Neriah came home from school we played chess. It's when I get to feel superior about a game I am mediocre at. I love it. I get to help him develop skills at strategy and feel smart at the same time. Yay.
I accidentally uploaded this one, but eh, what the hell, it's a nice memory and since I don't have a girlfriend to be disrespecting with it, I'll leave it, hmmm, nice memory.

Unlike Foreigner said, it's not sad or a day like any other day, it's an awesome Monday, a bonus day like no other day....

Ok, tis true, It's Monday now, when I finally get around to writing this, but this is actually from yesterdee, after the yungins dun went home. Once again, the sky was an awesome spectacle to behold as I went to Starbucks for some blogging, which I obviously didn't do, emailing, which I not so obviously didn't do because their Wifi was not happy and reading, which I actually did.
The road there, feebly captured by my camera phone, was breathtaking, the stuff of stories, honestly.
It just kept wowing me until I got to Starbucks.
They has a nice cripple spot right at the front door here, I'm diggin it.
Moments like this make me thankful and accepting of all the challenges I am required to face, frickin awesome.
As I got ready to pull away for downtown, I expanded my view of where I was sitting.
Back to Lake Morton, downtown. I think I will go sit on that bench over there. I won't bother trying to read this time. I will just look around and experience the sensory overload that is here.
Wow, I was amazed at what I thought was a myriad of birds the last time I was here. This time, however, I was awestruck at not only the wide-ranging variety of birds, but the sheer number.
This guy was frickin huge. He stood right in front of me for a considerable portion of time from when I sat down to a while later. Swans are really an awesome bird. They have the same arrogant, intimidating attitude as geese, but they're bigger and more beautiful, in my opinion, of course.
Just like the last time I was here, the picture makes it look dreary, but quite the contrary, it was just a lotta clouds. It was a beautiful sunny day, though.
He spent a few minutes trying to intimidate me by being very forward and threatening to bite me and raising his head up and making noises. Then that itch became too much and required some nipping.
There's the libaree ovar at center stage across the water.
He was distracted by another itch on the other side, so I was able to get a bit closer with my camera phone to take a picture of his awesome feets. They were so cool. Unfortunately, the detail can't express to you that and share my memory witcha.
After quite some time of attempted intimidation attempts and self-scratching, he decided to move on along ovar, beautiful long slender neck.
I felt compelled to head back to the heezy, yo, mostly driven by a growing intensity in my bladder.
Damn, I love Lakeland. It's such a beautiful town.
...and some more.
There's the Starbucks, on the way home.
Later, lasterday evening, Shalane called and said that Rhianna was, not better at all, worse actually, so she needed to go back to the doctor. Shalane offered to take off work, knowing, I think, what my answer would be, since I am fortunate enough to be a full-time beach bum and my whole purpose in life for the next handful of years is to be down here for the kids, this is my purpose realized. So, I taked Rhianna back to the doctor this morning. Last time, I think, she wasn't as sick and she had taken Motrin, so she didn't look as rough, so she got placating drugs. This time, it was clear, however, that she is really sickly.
So, another trip to the Walgreens down the street. We got to walk around find more 'gotta-have' crap that this store is so bad fer.

Upon returning to her creeyib, I settled into a spot on the couch with my girlfriend by my side as Rhianna goes upstairs to make a sleepytime. I figger on staying here until her mawma gits home. I'm not the nursemaid type that her mom is, thankfully (remembering my hospital stay and subsequent recovery), but I am interested in being available for her.

This picture, I must note, was taken by the awesome digital camera that Emily gived me for our one-year anniversary. I have been thinking that I need to start using it, duh, instead of my cell phone camera, which is nice, as far as cell phone cameras go. It's 3 megapixels, which is top end, but this frickin awesome digital camera that has been wasting away in my bag for several months is 10 megapixel, which is also top end for 'digital cameras', and has zoom and other cool features and the memory card does not require an adapter, so it can go straight from the camera to my computer. So, I will be comparing to see the difference. Hopefully, my lack of skills and off-the-hip shooting doesn't compensate for any quality gains. We shall see.
