Another awesome change for the better

Ok, this one, chronologically, goes at the end, but it's a good one to start with. Thankfully, an ugly bastard can make beautiful kids anyway.
Shalane gave me the idea to put it in some rice. It was way after the fact, but I figgered what the hell. I could try it for a few hours while we go smash coins. The night before, Rhianna deposited her phone into the terlit. Fortunately, it was before she added any colorful contaminants to the nice clear water. So, being the smart girl she is, she brought the phone right to me. I turned it off and took it apart to let it dry out over night, at least. Then, we still let it dry in the rice for a while as we experienced our day's adventure. It had a wet spot in the screen later, but worked fine. When her mom came to get them today, it had dried completely and had only a couple minor spots on the screen.
We laid our offering on the tracks for the smush god.
Hmm, hmm, hmm, 1:21 right? Well, the street fair thing ov'ar closes up shop at 2, so let's go on ov'ar since it's quarter til and maybe it's late self will show up in the next few.
This guy was in the process of carving some new creation. He had some pretty awesome offerings.

Ok, back over here to wait summo. hmm, hmm, hmm. Okay, I guess the train isn't coming right now. It's a good time for lunchings anyway. Let's go home and eat food, shall we? We'll come back for the one this evening.
After eating foods, we came on back to the lake, which is right by where we needsta meet the train god with our coin offerings. Rhianna was quite impressed with these big grass steps. It's my favorite place to lay back on the grass and look at the sky between reading and people watching.
When you are coming down the grass steps toward the lake, the view is breathtaking.
I hadn't taken them through the gardens over here on the edge of the lake, where they do weddings regularly. On the way to the other side with the stairs that I wanted a couple passes at, we walked through real quick. I could write an entry with 50 pictures about just the gardens. However, not right now, and prolly never, there is too much life for me to write about. It is indeed amazing, though.
Ah, the stairs, a beatiful view, indeed, to go with a bit of exercise. I was only planning to do a couple laps up and down. Neriah, sat on the grass and watched until he felt compelled to come and show me what his young motivated self could do. He lapped me quickly and then challenged me. It was just like the Tortoise and the Hare, which I continually pointed out. I also made the reference to Chip in Talladega Nights, 'the field mouse is fast, but the owl sees at night, ahahahaha'. I kept saying it.
He did the Hare thing and arrogantly flaunted his bursts of speed as I kept right behind him, slow and steady. As he started getting tired, he let me pass him a few times as he rested. His sister tried to disqualify him, but I said he wasn't quitting, it's coo, baybeh.
Man look at the speedy way he zips up and down.
It's time for the shirt to come off. I is gettin all nice and sweaty now.
I am determined to run again.
Rhianna was taking some cool pictures while waiting for us to play our man-games.
She parked behind a palm tree and took all kinds of pictures, supm like 147. I grabbed a bunch of her camera, which is why there are so many of her sweet, beautiful face, and also why there are very few of her brother. ;-)
She managed to take a lot of self-portraits.
cutie pie.
Her secret, stalker-behind-a-tree view.
Damn, she's frickin beautiful.
:-)
tired, but slow and steady.
beautiful.
Yeah, he's winded as I mock him and harass him. ;-)
hehe.
The ring, Emily got for here while we were up at the beach bum paradise. It's a shame that our awesomeness couldn't be more complementary.
I can see up yer nose.
It's easy to see what would cause a father's rage.
I didn't just go one step beyond him after he quit. I went ahead and did a full lap to make a decisive victory. I was tired, sho nuff, but I would have to be crawling and bleeding before I quit and let my son win. I have a drill sergeant to thank for that, quitting is not an option. It's good because I want him to learn that, well except against his dad. ;-) I pointed this out to him, referencing what I have always said, 'I have seen cold on the ship that would make an eskimo cry.' This time, I said, 'I have seen days that would make Arnold Schwarzenegger cry'. That was what finally did him in. He got a clearer picture that I would never quit. So, just in time, my phone alarmed train god time about five minutes ago.
We had plenty of time to line up our coins, but didn't hafta wait too long. It was very much on time this time.

It has yet to be less than awe-inspiring. Standing next to a train rolling by is an awesome spectacle of force and mass.
One of each, wow.
