The pool in da 'hood.

This morning, I woke up and did my usual walking the dogs routine and was about to lay back down. Then, I decided that I should go to the pool before everyone waked up and flooded the place, since it's Memorial Day, ya' know. So, I put on my swim trunks, grabbed a towel and the book I'm currently reading and headed for the spot pictured above. There was only a dad, grandmother, and child group there when I arrived. Two more eye candies arrived to sunbathe. I layed in the shade, alternating between reading and napping, for a while. Then, I turned my chair around and basked in the sun for about twenty minutes before refreshing myself in the perfectly temperate water. As a huge cloud came to block out the sun for prolly 5 or ten minutes, it was a bit too cool for shade for me, so I leaved. I came back home and taked a shower. Just like yesterday, it was quite nice.

The big pool

Sunday, yesterday, after I told the kids, including a few kids from da 'hood, to be quiet because Emily's sleeping, I realized that it would be a good time to just go to the big pool. So, I invited the next door neighbor and her daughter, along with a couple kids that she was entertaining. The weather was frickin awesome, as it is most days round hya. It was quite a packed house because of what I didn't really think of until we got there, it's Memorial Day weekend, which was really not a big deal. Actually, we were fortunate enough to have the only two available chairs waiting for us when we got there. So, we lounged while the kids went down the water slide and played in the ice-cold water. Then, after an hour or so, the neighbor and I agreed to move shop over to the, 'warmer because the water isn't continually recirculated by waterfalls and the water slide', 'lounge pool when it isn't being used for a lap pool'.

We had to sit in the grass over there but that was ok. There is a large hill that faces the pool with nice plush, green grass. The pool wasn't overcrowded because most of the people there were lounging in the chairs, sunbathing. It was quite nice. We stayed there for another hour or so after re-applying the sunscreen.

A peaceful spot to read

I went on down to the pool yesterday. Emily was still sleeping and I wanted to read without sitting in a quiet chair at home, falling asleep. It was a nice, peaceful spot to read. The cleaning peeps were there when I first got there, but them and the construction peeps over there, across the from the mailboxes, were just background noise. Then, the cleaning peeps left and I was alone for a few until some other, not-too-loud, peeps showed up. Overall, a very nice spot to read. Actually, I had to move over under the roof thing because, not only was the sun getting toasty but, some damn ants were pestering the hell outta me. They weren't fire ants, or I would've moved a lot sooner. They were just explorers and their incessant crawling over my skin was just annoying.

My cell phone doesn't come close to capturing the awesomeness of most things. The sky, as I looked up yesterday, is a good example. It looks kinda blah in the undescriptive eye of my cell phone. That's ok, I can remember it when I see the picture, so I will stick it in here, in my life-tracker.

Jordan is getting so beeg.

Damn, I'm an ugly bastard. I was obviously just driving and fergot to take that damn bluetooth thing out of my ear. I use it when I'm driving, but that's about it.

So, Jordan has gotten almost too big to pick up. He's just now at that stage where he's lost that sweet puppy breath, but he hasn't quite gotten the nasty dog breath yet.
