I love life

Ok, one of my last opportunities to be a 'beach bum in his element'. Actually, when my computer is done charging, I think I may just go one mo again.
Last weekend, Rhianna showed me the picture she drew in art class, abstract, I think she said. She was quite dismayed to hear that my interpretation of the image was the same as what she was already disappointed to hear. It was, regardless, a cool picture, as you can see here.
On the side, over here, was this cool bearded guy, looking like Rapunzel.
Ok, now I'll leave it to you to make your own determination of what it looks like to you. Ahahahaha, damn funny. This is the real-life funny that just cannot be replaced.
When I was dr...inking my one beer, Rhianna and somebody, Justin, I think, made some cool Christmas sugar cookies. I think I managed to inhale one before slumbering prior to my next cookie munch prior to the awesome brunch that Shalane made fer us.

Last weekend

The past few weekends, since I have been vagabonding down in Sarasota, Shalane has let me stay at her house with the kids to make it easier on both of us. This time, I got a wild hair to put some wax on the truck. Wow, it's amazing what wax will do.
I think Rhianna went to the culinary paradise, her aunt Linda's house, so Neriah and I went to Starbucks to enjoy a nice decaf coffee. Mmm, good stuff. Damn, he's gitn so growed up.
Me madre and I went on over to the place that we would be roommatin at, to replace the retirement community that she would rather not live in no mo, works fer me. I stumbled on an awesome place, prolly 'cause it's not buried in traffic hell somewhere. It's awesome like a retirement community, but it's not. There are actually kids and people who aren't sick and/or on the verge of death. It doesn't really bother me, but I can see how, my mom's age makes a big difference, it can be very depressing.
I came on back down here to Sarasota and, being the beach bum that I am, hadta visit the beach for one of the last times before I plan to move back up there, far from the beach, this weekend. Well, at the time, it was a couple weekends, but whu-evah. The beach out at Siesta Key is frickin awesome. It's one of the better ones I've seen.
As I sat in my super-cool beach chair that Emily buyed for me a while back, drinking my coffee from Starbucks, I watched this guy kitesurfing up and down the beach. I was impressed that he could go back and forth without crashing and control the kite so well as the wind basically maintained the same direction. My phone, again, obviously, is unable to capture much detail of this awesome spectacle. I have the awesome camera that Emily bought me for our anniversary. It's ten frickin megapixel and deserves to be used more sho nuff.

Ok, deferred again

I was just looking at the pictures from the last two batches, thinking I could goard head and write about those, catch up, ya know. Then, as I drinked a cuppa water, I thought, eh, I has had enough wines to make me not quite up to thinking no mo. Again, maybe later.

Be thankful for what ya gots, not what ya ain't gots

Just like Thanksgiving dinner at the same house, I didn't take much pictures. Therefore, the frickin awesome quiche thing that she made from the left-over turkeys ain't be living on in pictural history. But this salad, regardless, was wow, her usual, thank-God-my-daughter-is-modeling-herself-after-her, amazing.
It was dusk, so not the best clarity, but a taste, at least, of Neriah's masterpiece on the back patio. He made quite the homage in chalk to all the Nintendo characters he could think of, Link being his favorite. I know this picture doesn't show it, but it's pretty cool.
This morning, I went out there to clean out the truck, which was still in quite the disarray from the Shalane office move and I got a wild hair to wax the very oxidized sides. It's amazing what a little wax will do.

Well, since I'm here...

Yeah, it's blurry as hayl, but as I have said many times, this blog is for life-tracking, and primarily, it is for my rememberance of life events and, since this picture will trigger a memory, it works. This was me and one of the kids, I don't remember which since the picture is blllllurry. It don't be mattrin, yo. I played chess with both uvm. It's awesome to have kids, or hell be around kids, 'cause you can be not-that-great at supm, like chess in this case, and seem like a chess god. ;-)
The Bunn I gived to Shalane. It's significant, not because I want to pat myself on the back for giving my ex-wife-creature such an awesome gift, but because I could be a damn Bunn salesman. I frickin love those. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see how long the last one lived. At last check, it was, as old as Neriah, about 10 years old and still going. Yeah, a hunnerd bucks is costly at first glance, but divide that by ten. What ten dollar coffee pot could make perfect-temperatured frickin coffee in less than 3 minutes. hmmm, yeah, exactly. Frickin awesome. I am using it here for hot water, which I can get immediately for tea or ramen noodles or whu-evah. Oh yeah, we can't know about the longevity of the other one because I gived it to my mom and, when she moved down to Sarasota, she leaved it in GA, oops. Well, like I said, ten years still is more than our money's worth.

This picture also shows the pineapple that I hadsta cut up because it was at it's ripe extreme. Mmm, it was good, so sweet. Yeah, being stranded on an island with just coconuts and pineapples, ok, whu-evah.

Well, since I was here and since her dad was here, Sharane could take advantage of the helps and go get stuff outta her office. She and her sister had/have a bidniz doing permanent make-up. They is good and have had plenty of successful customers, but life events are just not making it possible for the first-two-years bidniz to survive through the holidays. So, here I is sitting in this dentist chair thinking I could borrow it and offer free gynecological exams at the beach. ;-) Damn, I needa haircut.
Butch is sittin ovar talking on the phone while we wait for Traci, Shalane's sister to do the final walk-through before going with us to put this chair in storage.
Looking up at the bildin.

The not-so-well-documented feast

As I looked through the pictures on my phone, I noticed I didn't take much for pictures. It's mostly memories. Oops. Usually, I take more than I feel like writing about. Oh well, whu-evah. This first one is a buncha pots. I don't remember what's what. There was Oyster stuffing, regular stuffin 'cause not everybody be liking the oyster stuff ya' know, homemade cranberry sauce, a couple turkeys, a ham, green bean casserole or supm like that...
There were also pies, of course, pumpkin, of course, as well as the other ones...supm, supm, I don't remember, good whatever the hell they was.
The invisible guy was using the elliptical. I came around the corner just in time to catch him.
As I dun said before, I didn't take many pictures. This is round one, ding ding. Let's see if I can make this out, uh, Oyster stuffin, a roll, mash 'taters, homemade cranberry sauce, ham, oy yeah sweet 'taters, I fergot about them, holy crap it was good.

Before heading up there for the weekend

Wow, the sky was extra awesome down in Sarasota, outside my momma's heezy. I just hadsta take a picture. This is the kind of crap I want this life-tracking blog to document. All the other worries in life can burn like leaves, but what will remain of my life is what I leave behind, and this picture will be one of those things. Even if I end up in Mexico, I will try to take advantage of the awesome technological advances we have and add to this blog from wherever I is.
The next morning, I decided it was time to put a coat of polish on my boots. They are happy now. I love these boots. They are so soft, a great gift for my last birfday. blehhh...more wine...
I don't remember when it was, but my momma gave me the idea that I could just leave on the afternoon of Thanksgiving instead of early the next morning, so I called Sharane and she agreed. Since they would be going to the ex-in-law's house for dinner, I could lounge my vagabond arse. Then, as I was making the beautiful-sky-covered trip up thar, I gits me a phone call from Shalane that says I am invited to go to culinary frickin paradise for Thanksgiving dinner. Well, ok. I like the ex-in-laws and I especially love food and the person's house it was always cooks, not only amazing yumminess, but lots of it. Woot!
