It's about damn time

Ok, my writing has been sparse. I have let myself get all distracted by life and haven't kept a log of it the way I intended when I started this damn thing. I blame having a girlfriend to occupy my time and my mind.

A good illustration of this lack of tracking is, I was just up in Jacksonville at NAS Jax for a required exam for my disability, and I looked at the officer homes again. They are not only beautiful homes, but they are on the water AND the Navy provides them for you at no cost, that includes electricity. Damn, I sure do miss the Navy. The sacrifices and challenges are hard, but it's well worth it, to me, at least. Anyway, I didn't take one damn picture. So, nothing for the blog even.

This writing was inspired by my recent reminder of how I hate hippies and the blog I wrote on Myspace shortly after. I wrote it there instead of here because I thought it would be a good insight for my Myspace family and it was right there at my fingertips and didn't feel like posting here, because I knew I'd do what I'm doing no, which is writing about a lot of unrelated items.

So, without further ado, here bees the blog I writed on Myspace:
***
I linked to this guy’s profile from a hippie’s profile, so it is no surprise to me that he spews the same hippie doctrine that people have said along with the word ’change’. All this stuff is nice but dreamy, fairy tale, ’oh, let’s all hold hands’ crap just isn’t gonna happen, in my opinion of course, and just wastes vital resources, such as money, time, and mental energies, which could be much better spent on researching and developing something useful, like a hybrid or electric car that is not grossly underpowered and ugly.

These guys have nice stimulating things to say, but the unfortunate part, for me, is that it’s a lot of frickin fluff. They say crap like ’we have a plan to bring our troops home and stabilize Iraq’, but the details are never forthcoming, just smoke and mirrors. Yeah, it’s nice to dream of magically poofing all the bad guys away, when yer frickin 10.

I don’t believe this war is being handled properly. However, I don’t think the solution is to just quit. I believe that’s what happened in Vietnam. It’s not, in my opinion of course, that we shouldn’t have been there as much as mismanagement. That was due to Kennedy’s assassination and subsequent lack of support for the ongoing war that had been started. The follow-on administrations did what these ’bring our troops home’ people want to do now, just quit, and let the fallen heroes die in vain and furthermore let more soldiers and civilians die and, no shit, public opinion of the war will be negative, hmmm, funny how that works.

Ok, I’m spent.

Check out this guy’s profile. He ran fer president fer a minute, now he’s running for Congress. It, like the other one(s), sounds good until you realize it’s a lot of fat with not much meat.

I'm tired, nothing new

It's not exactly a news flash that I'm tired. I guess I can just make note of why this time, since I actually have reason this time. I took the kids to the fair the other day. It was quite cool until all the stoopids showed up. We had to leave about 3:30. We had been there since around 11 supm, so we did plenty. I got them armbands so they could ride as much as they wanted. As I said, it was cool until the stoopids showed up and it was just no fun anymore.

It was like going to that store, the one that caters to low-rent knuckleheads and the handicap spots are always full. You know, the one that, like the Nazis stole the swastika, which was originally a symbol for brotherhood, they stole the happy face, so now, you can't look at a happy face or a swastika without thinking about idiots.

Anyway, we had much fun and, subsequently, I was left with lower back pain and much fatigue. This fatigue, however, is so constant that I don't bother trying to preemptively control it. I just go until I must stop. Kinda like before, I just do a lot less and get tired a lot more.

Ok, I am done writing.

My posts have been few and far between lately

Have I mentioned that she's beautiful? Holy crap! It's like seeing a picture of someone who makes yer heart flutter and then being able to actually go kiss their sweet face. I need to go wake her up in a few. I tried a few minutes ago but she needs a warning wake-up usually.

This picture is the one I just put on the desktop of my new laptop. I just don't get sick of looking at it. Therefore, I'm not changing the funny picture on my desktop every couple weeks like I did/do on the desktop computer.

We is going out to dinner with her dad and the punk darlings tonight. I look forward to that. I like her dad. He is in town for a business conference, so he delivered my new laptop and is visiting a bit. He's been staying at a hotel across town but we have/will see him while he's here.

Ok, I just felt compelled to write something so I don't get sleepy again waiting for the next Emily wake-up.

Wow, it 'has' been a long time since I posted

And wow, she's beautiful. I am breathtooked every time I see her. Mmmm. She calls it her fat, Prednisone face.

Anyway, we be's up here in Louisville, KY at her parents for the holidays. We came for Christmas and extended our stay until next Tuesday because I have some bidniz ta handle down in NEGA, so we plan to head back down through there and visit my mom, my sister, and Butch.

I am really glad that her parents and I get along so well. I really like them. I got to meet her sister and her boyfriend along with several other family-types at various gatherings. So far, I like everyone I've met. I have already been stunned at how much Emily is like me, which is awesome and frustrating at the same time. But, the frustration is akin to growing pains to me. I am quite ok with it. Anyway, to finish that thought, I have been further stunned at how much her dad and I have the same sense of humor. It's more than that, though. At first, it was like, 'we have the same sense of humor'. Then, it was quickly apparent that it was more like, 'we actually think alike'. An example is the stoopid small things like the way I/we say Target like it's a French word, Tar-zhay.

I found the coolest new band the other day, while looking for V8 powered motorcycles. The Boss Hoss, they is a German country/rockabilly band.

I think I am done writing. It is as it usually is, I sit down with a laundry list of things to write and get half way through it before I lose it and fergit, mostly due to lack of interest. So, now I will get back to the very involved activities of an old, retired, cripple. Jack and I have some planning to do fer dinner. Jack is Emily's dad. Emily is going to go eat dinner with a friend of hers and her mom isn't planning to be home until 8 or so. So, the menfolk is left to fend fer themselves.

I need to chart this fatigue

Huh, huh...beaver.

I think I's gonna make an Excel file er supm to chart this fatigue. I am finally feeling a bit motivated today. I did a terrible job of shaving Merlin, did the dishes, and partially cleaned the kitchen. I taked a shower before I did some laundering activities, and then I put the sheets on the daybed down here in da office. I called NAVHOSPJAX about my 18-month physical at the end of January and SunTrust about my online access difficulties. Now, I think I could make that Excel file. However, I am feeling whooped so I think I will take a break in hopes of getting my 10th wind so I can do more stuff.

Last weekend, I didn't even get the kids because I was feeling so damn wiped out. This weekend, I had decided, 'f-it' I ain't gonna bodder wit da house, I'll just let it be a mess. However, now that I am, thankfully, feeling the sparks of a combustion cycle, I do want to use some energies to tidy up. I really want to pass on to them some concept of tidyness and responsibility.

Ok, I'm tired. I fink I's gonna rest now for round two. ding, ding.

Supm good I wanna share

I was reading someone's blog about a recent sailing race they were a guest on and I wanted to grab a snippet because I like the way he thinks.

***
The wind was howling but, in the case of a 25 ton, steel boat, that’s not a bad thing. The crew concentrated on keeping the boat moving at a rapid pace, I concentrated on keeping my internal contents where they were; the effects of the previous night’s excursions a constant reminder of my fragile state. Giver that I am, I thought long and hard about how I might best contribute to the efforts being put forth by the other ten members of the crew. My careful and studied analysis left me with but a single conclusion: I should stay the hell out of the way. So, in a selfless expression, I went back to bed for a nap.

Pepe's Cock

I was sitting in my chair in front of the new barn where Emily's horseys now live. I was talking to Foxy, the beautiful German Shepherd, when I heard a rooster crowing. I got up to see whattup and saw one of Pepe's (the barn owner's) cocks perched atop an old rusty burn barrel.
